The ‘YakBAK’ Bi-Directional NMEA to WiFi Bridge allows you to transmit your NMEA data to all of your WiFi devices. It can also send NMEA sentences back to control your auto-Pilot for example. The YakBAK creates it’s own WiFi hot spot for your devices to connect to, or the YakBAK can connect to your onboard router, enabling your devices to receive the data that way.
Use the Yakker to wirelessly send your ship’s data to Navigation apps like iNavx, OpenCPN etc. Create your own accurate bathymetric charts in real time. With the yakker sending data from your sounder to your mobile device running using Navionics Boating App available for Android and IOS devices.
Setting up is easy. Simply connect your PC, Tablet or Smartphone to Yakker’s hot spot and point your browser to 192.168.4.1 to access the settings page. Here you can set the speed to match your NMEA device.
The YakBak can use UDP or TCP protocols so YakBak can communicate with any navigation app. You can use GoTo commands and send waypoints from your nav app and the YakBak will pass them on to your autopilot. Enjoy the freedom of navigating wirelessly while on deck.
